Gaming On Linux Part 1: Minecraft and Fallout: New Vegas

My name is TJ and this is Gaming on Linux. In this video, we cover how to install Minecraft natively in Arch Linux, we play around a little bit, and we start a brand new playthrough of Fallout: New Vegas!

It does crash at the end, however this could just be Fallout being Fallout, not the fault of Proton.

I am aware that the video as a whole is quite loud, and that my mic is a bit quiet. I will work on resolving this in the next video, but I didn’t feel like re-recording the entire thing, so this one is what you get.

  1. I was incorrect at 5:00 as I described the options for makepkg. The -s option is to sync or install the dependencies, and the -i option is to install the package after building it.
Also I have since fixed the mounting error with the minecraft drive.
