Far Cry 6 Linux Wine | RX 6700 XT | Ryzen 7 5800x | 32GB RAM

Far Cry 6 running on Linux using Wine 6.18-GE and the Latest VKD3D-Proton-git. The performance is actually pretty good but there are still some issues that need to be ironed out, like the flickering vegetation for example. Another issue which you did not see in this video is the fact that the game has a very high chance of crashing your graphics driver if you are using an AMD GPU, I have no clue if this issue is present on Nvidia hardware.

This video was recorded at 1080p 60fps using FFMPEG VAAPI and OBS. Recording does effect my minimum and average framerate so add 5 fps to the average to get an idea of how the game runs without recording

Distro: Arch Linux
Kernel: 5.14.9-zen2-1-zen
CPU: Ryzen 7 5800X (stock)
RAM: 32GB DDR4 3600MHz
GPU: RX 6700 XT Red Devil OC to 2800MHz on the core with -40mV

  1. Would you say the benchmark gave you an accurate performance range?
I gotta be honest, I have not played a single Ubisoft title where the benchmark was remotely accurate.
They always perform much worse during actual gameplay than the benchmark suggests. Which begs the question of why they even bother including a benchmark in the first place?
