Debian Vanilla Gnome: Debloat & Customization



1. Remove all unwanted games and app:

sudo apt-get purge gnome-games gbrainy evolution libreoffice* gnome-maps gnome-clocks gnome-calendar gnome-contacts cheese evince && sudo apt-get autoremove

2. Remove all gnome extensions

sudo rm -r /usr/share/gnome-shell/extensions/
sudo rm -r ~/.local/share/gnome-shell/extensions/

3. Wifi improve:

sudo gedit /etc/NetworkManager/conf.d/default-wifi-powersave-on.conf

then copy/paste :

[connection]
wifi.powersave = 2

save close reboot.

4. Bluetooth connected disconnected:

echo “options iwlwifi bt_coex_active=0” | sudo tee /etc/modprobe.d/iwlopt.conf
